Is AI mode free and private?
Yes. The neural network runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly - your image is never uploaded. The model itself (a one-time ~20MB download) is fetched from img.ly's CDN and cached.
What backgrounds does it handle?
Any of them. The neural net detects the subject regardless of background complexity - works on photos, portraits, logos, and busy scenes.
What's the output format?
PNG, which preserves full transparency. You cannot export transparency to JPG.
