Frequently asked questions

Is the watermark selectable text?
Yes. The watermark is drawn as vector text using Helvetica-Bold, so it remains crisp at any zoom level and is selectable in PDF readers.
Can I remove the watermark later?
Not with this tool. If you need removable watermarks, consider adding them in a PDF editor with layer support. This tool applies a flat text overlay.
What opacity should I use?
10-30% is typical for 'CONFIDENTIAL' or 'DRAFT' stamps - visible enough to notice but not obscuring content. Higher opacity (50%+) makes the watermark more prominent.
