Based on entropy - the amount of randomness in the password. Entropy depends on character set size and length. Longer passwords with diverse characters have higher entropy.
What's a good crack time?
For most accounts: years or more. For sensitive data: centuries+. If your password shows 'hours' or less, it needs to be longer or more complex.
What's the 10B guesses/sec assumption?
